Think we should start building an ark!!!! Have rain in the forecast for the next 5 days. Don't EVEN want to know whats in store after for us that, and I sure hope that moat of you east of us aren't going to get all this kind of weather. Rose you're an exception, hope you do get some of this rain.

Good morning. I got zero in Aug, one inch in Sept, and 1.8 in Oct. I won't be complaining if It rains until the end of the year. Now snow, that's another story. Have good day.

Yippppppeeeeee! We got the grandaughter home yesterday evening...she's doing much better and hope she continues on the road to recovery. Got her on a couple of antibiotics by mouth and doc says she has to miss probably anothe week of school. Seeing as how bad the sickness is in school there is going to be a lot of the kids making up homework. Gonna be rough.

Got a phone call from my son in TUCSON....he's on his way back home. The whole family is excited to see him again....the only immediate family member that has been gone since 1980 when he joined the AIR FORCE. Retired after 20 years and has lived out west since then. Don't think he will miss that heat...trading it for snow, slush and freezing temps this winter.

Football.....Iowa won (barely)...JOHN will be happy
Penn State won, Joe Pa and CAROL are happy
Ohio State won and DON is happy! Very Happy

Haven't seen what Florida and Illinoise did but hope they both won their games.

For the first time since I retired, I feel that I've been blocked out of the loop so to speak......Swine Flu shots are now available for folks but restricted to the young, the pregnant and health care workers....can't get ours till much later. I understand why, though....production has fallen way short of the need and us oldsters aren't in as much danger of getting the Swine Flu. Got my regular one though.

Better start buildin' KEL......luckily we over east of ya are going to be dry for the next couple of days and get some badly needed SUNSHINE! Then the rains return. Quite a challenge for the farmers in the area.

Mornin' Don! It's a damp morning here in the Northland, but it's in the upper 40s and feels pretty mild actually.

Had frost this morning and low temp was at freezing. Got wall to wall sunshine at the moment and looks like we are going to get to enjoy a pretty nice day, comparatively speaking.....highs to be just into the 60s.
