John, when do you start pickin' fresh oranges? Does it look like you are going to have a pretty good crop this year? I'm so envious!

The park trimmed my tree before I got here~ they been trimmin' all over park

they use a hedgetrimmer an' leave 1/2 leaves all over place~ an when they trim the oranges just roll!

Hate how they trim instead of prune and that they do it when the oranges are set~ but law says park owners can do that! Sad

That's not good Hawk! Sad

What does oranges are set mean Hawk? Did it harm them so that you won't have any oranges?

I know Carol. sometimes Do you sometimes feel like that's all we do is watch the clock and do the meds?

I know Kel, but it's something I have to live with to stop the seizures! It stinks! Idea

When ya got oranges on the tree~ no matter how small~ the tree is done blooming an' yer fruit is set fer the next harvest.

If ya clip them off ya got rid of yer crop! Just like waiting fer yer apples tree ta get done blossoming so you can prune it~ theen pruning it with a hedge clipper! if ya cut off yer fruit its gone! Idea

ya gotta wait another year before ya get more fruit onna tree!

I was just researching the meds doc has put my wife on for her bum knee.....Nabumetone...generic for Relafen. Another one of those NSAIDs like Celebrex, Naprosin etc. Don't know how long doc will have her on that med. When you read all the side effects, it scares the bejabbers out of a person. Surprised

I haven't tried any oranges so far this fall......California Navals should be starting up soon and Florida ones usually preceed them. Last year, the Florida ones were outstanding in flavor and juice.

I cant beleive she's on naproxin and another NSAID too, and you're right the side effects are awful.

Some of the meds have caused a little liver damage( and I don't drink alcohol ever)and they more than likely contributed to my kidney because there is virtually no cancer in our family. Real bad hearts, but no cancer.
