Ours is in pretty good shape for as old as it is......one of the neighbors has this humongus big flag that you can see for a couple of miles away....hate to think what the replacement cost is for a new one. It gets pretty well beat up being that it is so high on the hill.

I'd rather see no flag flyin' than some idiot flyin' a ripped up dishrag an bein' proud of it!

If its ripped frayed or faded take it to the VFW and they will properly retire it! sunny

Will keep that in mind, JOHN...wasn't sure how they dispose of the retired flags.

We had a couple of new traffic laws go into effect this past wednesday....one was that if you need to run the windshield wipers in rain, you MUST have your headlights on. Interesting thing is that on our way to town in the rain the other day, we counted 19 vehicles WITHOUT lights on for the 6 miles to town. Going to be hard to remember to turn them on and maybe even harder to remember to turn them off when parking. Bet there will be more than a few run down batteries on account of this new law Mad

I often wondered if a person gets used to the high altitudes and adapt......we are only around 800 feet above sea level at our location. Interesting thing I noticed while visiting FLORIDA and playing golf there.....the ball didn't go as far down there as up here in OHIO.

No driving lights seems to be a FORD thing.....never have had a vehicle with that feature. Latest vehicle we have is a '96 Mercury and probably be the last vehicle we own. Gotta make it last till I don't drive any more alien
