Check the map - This "Greek" island is so far east,one would think itTurkish - and so it was, for a few centuries. But the scrambling of the Ottoman Empire awarded it to Greece. Oh well, they're doing nice things to it ...

The harbor which once hosted the fabled Colossus now spews giant cruise ships ...

Notethe spilled grain from the freighter unloading, and the birds gathering to pounce ...



Although sirens from the pier kept them confused, they exhibited a definite pecking order ...
