| We have a few days of beautiful weather coming up. Todays high is going to be in low 80s but on Saturday for the wedding reception the high will be 75. That's an almost perfect day. Hope everyone has a great day today. I have lots to do so won't be here much. |

| Good morning, Kelster! Hot and sticky here today. I want the rain to come back, but not until the guy is done fixing our stucco, hehehe. Shuttle got off to a beautiful launch last night, wahoo! _________________ "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting 'Holy shit, what a ride!'"

| Good morning, Carol and dad! Glad to hear the grandkids got home safe, Carol. I'm trying to plan my day through a cloud of Zyrtec. It's annoying, but better then dealing with sinus issues. _________________ "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting 'Holy shit, what a ride!'"

| I'm not sure if all of you will still be here once I post this... but I wanted to fill you in on some of the reasons I have been absent this past several days.
The first reason is that I have been desperately trying to get as much sleep as possible... I was very tired after my niece left on the 9th... I had been short-changing myself on sleep for three weeks and it finally caught up with me. It seems every morning now I am waking up at 9:30... and I probably would have today as well, but I heard a ruckus outside my window and found that a baby Robin had fallen from the family nest and the parents were 'guarding' it with lots of chirping. I went outside and got him back under the pine tree... but I don't know how long he will stay under there... he seems to enjoy roaming around. I'll not interfere any more than that. He is a pre-flight baby... soon to be old enough to fly properly. I pray he makes it.
I have had something to do virtually every day this week. I had to get up very early on Monday to be at my new job place early, just for paperwork signing and to get the necessary paperwork for the pre-employment drug test. I then went to lunch with some of my ex-co workers from my old job.... and drove to the clinic to take the pre-employment drug test. I got there at 1:03 pm... only to find out that they are only open from 6:30 am to 1:00 pm Mon-Fri!!! I was SO frustrated!! Because I had planned to drop my car off for some work.... (a whole other bunch of drama) as this is the only chance I will have to get it done when I am working and need it every day. So I needed to go back to town to do this task on Tuesday...
I start my training for my new job on Monday... I have to drive to Philadelphia for it!!! I will have to be there for TWO WEEKS. I am NOT looking forward to that. They are providing a rental car and a hotel room... but I will have to furnish my own meals, which is a shame, because I have a well-stocked pantry right here... and don't need to be spending money on eating out three times a day. But there is nothing that can be done. I thought I would be going to Altoona for my training... but as it turns out, they are short staffed in that branch and cannot spare someone to teach me, which is why I must go to Philly.
So... as if that were not enough... I got a phone call yesterday from a county representative... they want me to come in for an interview today, for a job I applied for back in February, when I had first learned of my old job planning layoffs!! I have to do this, check it out... even though it pays a LOT less than the job I am starting on Monday, the opportunity to work for the local government office is too good to ignore... so I need to at least go in and ask some questions... and the interviewer (who would ultimately be my boss) was SO wonderful on the phone, I just have to satisfy my curiosity about the whole job. There is no guarantee that after the interview they will offer me the job, either... but I think it is a door worth exploring.
So.. that is the long and short of it... I have been busier than a one-armed paper hanger....
I hope to catch you all, Kel, Baker, Don, Hawk, Evil, Rain, Rose, Marcie, ALL of you... long enough to say hello.... but I can't stick around long today either... must get ready to go!

| hi Carol! My brain is ready to explode, hehehe. Hubby needs to get back to work, juggling money around is no fun, I prefer it when we're comfortable. Hopefully the union will have something soon. Fingers crossed! _________________ "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting 'Holy shit, what a ride!'"

| Good morning gang.....I'm slow out of the gate this morning.....again. Probably missed most of you fine folks. Got a rather muggy morning started with low temp only at 69. Kinda warmish to sleep last night with windows open even. Was hoping for rain but nary a drop! |
